There are a few club/bar areas but Holiday Inn on King St is the closest big name hotel to the nightlife.

If you are a little older or looking for something more up-market then the Yorkville area might be a better nightlife scene for you. Four Seasons Yorkville or Park Hyatt are the choices for that area.

There is an awesome hotel called the Strathcona which is pretty cheap but really nice and is walking distance to King and University and if you walk north a little more you are right at Queen west and the club district.
